Modified Bitumen can be applied hot, with a torched cap application or as a self adhering peel and stick (flameless) application.

The frame work for Modified Bitumen is a five-layer combination of roofing components:
Insulation – Used to provide thermal resistance for temperature stability of the roof system
Modified Base
Modified Bitumen Membranes – Factory fabricated sheet membrane composed of copolymer reinforced with polyester or fiberglass
Adhesive – Waterproofing material with a bonding agent applied either hot or cold
Surfacing – Provides UV protection and weather resistance
